I'm currently using an Acer Aspire 3620, installed with Mandriva 2007, everthing works, but I haven't tried using its modem. I was previously using a Compaq Presario 2500, with an older version of Mandriva, and everthing worked too... but I didn't try to use the modem either. :-) I was also able to install Mandriva 2007 on someone's Compaq Presario C501, but wasn't able to get wifi working out of the box... maybe when I get my hands on it again.
