You have 3 options, this is a 64 bit RISC same chip with P Series so
you can install any 64 bit Linux, we have a test box of P615 with
Fedora.

Next option, install AIX 6.0 which beta is coming out for free
download and evaluation.

Last option but this is more proprietary, IBM virtualization, you can
set up on another PC for a HMC to manage LPAR. Create LPARs on  as/400
and you can install LINUX or AIX. Red Hat and SLES are supported in
LPAR.
