Can your RPG programs run under Linux in the AS/400?
I saw on google and ILE to .NET converter. Might run on Mono under Linux.

You have 3 options, this is a 64 bit RISC same chip with P Series so
you can install any 64 bit Linux, we have a test box of P615 with
Fedora.
Next option, install AIX 6.0 which beta is coming out for free
download and evaluation.
Last option but this is more proprietary, IBM virtualization, you can
set up on another PC for a HMC to manage LPAR. Create LPARs on as/400
and you can install LINUX or AIX. Red Hat and SLES are supported in
LPAR.
Thanks. I'll keep these suggestions in mind. But more importantly, I might need
a backup system that won't require another as400. Not that as400's fail a lot.
but if we can cluster enough intel/amd boxes together, then that would be
great. All data/apps on one machine doesn't really feel secure to me.
Keep em coming guys. I appreciate it.
