a copy of the .config file for the existing kernel might already be
available at your
/boot  directory. if not, you may use any of the ff commands (assuming that
the
loaded kernel or the kernel to be extracted with, have enabled  ".config" ):

shell> /usr/src/{path-to-kernel-src}/scripts/extract-ikconfig
/boot/{kernel-image}  > .config

or

shell> zcat /proc/config.gz  > .config
