Some certifications are worthless such as the M$ TestKing ones. But from experience, the Red Hat certification is definitely not worthless. Having that certification means that you can administer a Red Hat system and fix common and not-so-common problems quickly. The Red Hat lab exam is not THAT hard -- but without Google and under time pressure, it's quite difficult to complete it.
