"Fast user switching" is exactly the same as using virtual terminals. Anyway, it seems that it is a limitation of the ATI driver. Seems to work fine on my machine which is using an nVidia (w/ binary drivers). Have you tried to log- out the frist user then logi-in using the 2nd user account? -- Gideon N.
