My 384kbit smart bro connection before was 999/month. in taguig (the poor section of town, across C5 from fort bonifacio). i could get 350kbit early on but lately it's been only 80kbit.
I have since then switched to a 1.5mbit globe wired connection. i usually get 400kbit to 500kbit. also 999/month. globe's 3mbit is 2000/month. PLDT probably means they have no DSLAM in your building but the neighboring building has one.
