Ok any one got a way we can fight this before we all have to leave the country
so as we can get fair use, of things we purchase.

The best example of a law going wrong like this is a Sports game was sold
across the Internet and when people went to watch it the DRM keys had been
damaged thus people in the US had no right to decrypt the video but if you
purchased it in places like Australia at the time you could and do it legally
as your owned the right to watch the Game. It took I think 4 weeks for the
company to recreate the keys and redistribute the sports game. Bit late when
you already know the scores, you can avoid the result for 24 Hours but not
more than a week.....

As a new parent you will all know how your CD's get destroyed why cant i
create a Copy then re Burn it for my daughter when she scratches the CD?
When CD's first came out they told us how indestructible they were and they
would last decades, You ever given one to your 3 Year Old?

All I want is the ability to fairly use what I pay for. I buy computers that
enable me to do what i want, Ones which allow Linux, Phones I purchase must
have a Free Software option "Nokia", I loaded Python.

We must fight this one to the very end if we must, We have to fight it to the
Supreme Court.. We as the consumers have the right is it not our choice. I
hope all people who voted for him realize now that he is just a puppet of the
Monopolistic companies. These companies already have protection under the law
which is being enforced called the Copyright law, The copyright law does not
state anywhere in it that, reproducing or copying it for your own use is
illegal. If i buy a book and take notes from it, write them down word for
word i have not broken the law. If i like a two minute clip from a movie i
own why cant i copy that section and have it available to play when i want.
Why is it that the movie industry here constantly gets bowed to as if they are
more important than you or me. What is my phone going to have a Blue ray DVD
drive attached so i can watch video clips when i want?

This is all about our own rights. Please lets fight this.

If this goes through you will also not be allowed to Mod some of the devices
you purchase to play content that you purchased elsewhere in the world. You
will not be able to purchase things on the Internet , and be sure they will
work on your device as it had been ZONED. Being an expat I have purchased so
many things elsewhere, what now i cannot use them? What about when my parents
or relatives send me items from elsewhere. No more CD's, DVD's, Games? Why
because you want to protect an importer here? OH well xmas will be very
boring for many children to come, it will only be clothes and books.

SORRY FOR MY RANT ...

Regards Michael Cole.

Have a good day all..
