Yes internationally they are in the music industry looking at that but what about your rights on the movies. Barney - Dora must be one of the most purchased CD's on the planet due to children scratching the CD's. It costs enough to buy every thing else for the child why make it harder for the parents, by destroying the ability of fair use... If I break the Player in the first 30 days I can take it back with a CD you cannot.. And from experience CD's do not last 30 days in the hands of a child. We could go the Internet download option, but that will most likely force me to use an operating system which if i don't have the HDTV 'encryption' mode working then I get a lower quality on the speakers and screen (VISTA HD mode), but I still have to pay the same for a lower quality? And we do not know if this is just a ploy to let everyone relax whilst the laws are passed worldwide then hit us all with the encrypted DRM music. It is copyrighted we do not need any more laws. The government should just apply the ones they have.. Dont add new ones until they have proved themselves to be able to apply the rest and that includes making the laws apply to the Congressmen and Senators, Media, Singers, Actors, Rich, Brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, mothers and fathers. No EXECPTIONS. _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
