I'm not sure if that was the intention based on the tone of the email.

I find it a bit unprofessional. It's like me asking someone, "is your Oracle
Database legit?" ^^

As for the tacky humor on people wanting to run cs3 on wine, I'd say why
not? There is still NO open source software that matches photoshop.
