Sorry if i gave that impression.

But wine is a hack, and if you're looking for reliability and
stability on your fancy hardware, the idea of running a huge, complex
app like cs3 on wine does seem funny.

I can't reconcile 'mission critical' with using wine. And let's face
it, most people replace windows with linux/wine for cost
considerations. And it's true, there is no oss equivalent for
photoshop, so if you use photoshop to make money, wouldn't you go for
a supported configuration? Which wine certainly isn't.
