Also.. I find the overly sensitive "how dare you imply we're using unlicensed software" attitude a bit much.
Unlicensed software usage in our country is very prevalent. If not unlicensed, underlicensed. It's a fact of life so i don't get the injured tone and hardware laundry list. (and the digs at my professionalism) And also, if your revenue depends on a particular bit of software, you don't run an unsupported configuration!!! Would i run oracle on debian? No, it's not supported. But debian and rhel are far more similar than say... Windows and wine. And yes, asking if someone's oracle db is legit is a valid question.
