I think i understand gracie's reaction, in retrospect. Asking in a
public forum if someone else is using unlicensed software is
inappropriate, not because that person is or is not actually using the
software, but...

You should never admit using unlicensed software in a public forum!

That's regardless of whether you actually do, or not (most do...
Underlicensing is actually the noncompliance method du jour)

The notes about windows instability/viruses/etc are noted. But bottom
line, bugs in CS that show up on a non-supported platform will get you
laughed at by Adobe support. Still better to run windows (or mac os X)
which is supported.

I'm far from a windows fan, but supported is just that... Supported.
If your base platform is really linux, then run CS inside a VM. Most
vendors do support running inside a VM. Of course that's a vmware
license, but vmware player is free as in beer; use a single full blown
vmware to create your image, then deploy it to your other boxes
running vmware player.
