I remember when I was working in the Ortigas area and my employer decided to have Globe DSL installed, and the list of sad experiences are as follows:

    * Tech Support (Outsourced employees and no IT experience) sucks
bigtime, it took them several days before someone came to the
      office to check the problem.
    * Four IT Support came, one each day, each one has a different
opinion as to what is causing the intermittent connection
      (They're just guessing)
    * Connection was so bad that after two weeks we decided to
      terminate the contract.

Now if I were you, since you can afford paying for a T1 line, why not try VPS instead, it's reliable and can guarantee you a 99.99% uptime. LayeredTech is a good example of VPS provider.

Does anybody experienced using Globelines DSL Broadband for web

Currently, our office is hosting more than 50 Joomla websites
with our T1 1Mbps. We wish to migrate to DSL to lessen our cost on
Internet service. What do you think will be the implications if we
opt for DSL? Let's say the Globelines' Taipan packaged of 3Mbps
with 256 Kbps Committed Information Rate(CIR).

Hi jan,

VPS is a good idea. However, the user needs to be aware of the security implications of hosting contents on third party servers, wherein they are subject to the laws and regulations in the area or country. PLDT DSL is fine as long as you know who to rattle when those goddawful customer support people start to spout nonsense. ^_^ I'm currently using a smallbiz package... so far so good.... Cheers
