Yeah I guess it needs an answer then. Yup you can have that running on Tiger. Not sure about Leopard. The problem though is that you need to have some fancy stuff on the installer. The standard discs won't work because of firmware restrictions. When Apple makes an major OS update, your installation will most likely break. 1GB for OS X is pretty much minimum you get better performance on 2GB or higher.
