Hi friend, I already tried: 1. Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu (8.04 & 8.10) 2. SimplyMEPIS 8.0 3. PCLinuxOS 2007 4. Xandros 5. Linspire/FreeSpire 6. Mandriva 9. Puppy Linux
Ubuntu is the recommended Linux version or Distro. Kasi it has lots of documentations online, books, support than I think with other distros. Mepis (SimplyMEPIS) is a very excellent destkop Linux version. If you like KDE desktop, you can try it. PCLinuxOS has lots of propietary softwares/drivers if you are using a PC to run media players, (DVD/CD), wireless access etc... Xandros is a very excellent OS too. But it has a fee. Parang XP nga siya. Linspire, parang Xandros din siya. I heard nag-merge na ang Xandros at Linspire. Freespire ang free software version ng Linspire. Mandriva. I think it's an excellent OS too. Pero I really like GNOME desktop. Puppy Linux. About 100Mb ang iso file nito. Pero it is an excellent OS. It boots faster. Lots of applications and supported drives kahit maliit lang siya. Continuous ang development. I tried version 4.2. I'm planning to use a Pupply Linux on a USB flash drive or USB hard disk drive. It's great also when retrieving important files from a Windows OS na nag-blue-blue srceen of death. Ma-su-surprise ka nalang kapag na retrieve mo ang important files mo using it.:D Hope nakatulong ang mga ito.:) On Wed, Apr 1, 2009 at 3:44 PM, d3am0n <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi guys ! just want your recommendation regarding , what best destro for > desktop ? and user and interface friendly ? > > > thanks guys and more power > > > d3am0n > > _________________________________________________ > Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List > http://lists.linux.org.ph/mailman/listinfo/plug > Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph > -- Froilan S.
