I can't afford the downtime of reformatting my notebook... Meanwhile my desktop has problems installing any modern Linux because of the SATA-to-PATA bridge. So it's still running CentOS 4.3!
GIMP is pretty good for almost everything, but most of the actions and tutorials online are for Photoshop. But then again if you can't pay for Photoshop, you should be using GIMP.
