i agree. just backup the checksums of the tiffs, local count (ER), and
other higher counts, and put them in a publicly accessible server for
others to mirror.  then maybe a regional more local verification
(tiffs, ERs, etc) by local schools / LUGs.  so everyone can have their
own unofficial count which can add confidence to the official count.
