Rich:
Sorry that I didn't get your message earlier today. If the time on your
machine is set right, you were at it early this morning.

In my case, Slackware 12.2, evga GeForce GT 430 graphics card, I had to
install the nvidia driver to get to my (new) monitor's native resolution
of 1690 x 1080. It was easy to do and works great with VGA, DVI or HDMI.

I'll be at the gym for a couple hours, so if you post and don't get an
answer, you'll know that my fat butt is still draggin' the ground.
