Can't rule out the heat theory, but last night when it finally booted one of the first things I did was run Palimpsest. It reported zero errors on the hard disk, not even any sectors that had been reallocated, and the temperature of the drive was 32C. That doesn't mean the CPUs weren't overheated, but it makes it seem less likely. As I recall the laws of thermodynamics, stuff gets hot all over. I don't remember the details, however. :( It's still running fine, although the backup I did last night is acting weird. I started it about 11 pm, it is just now noon, and it is still running. That's wrong. Shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
