I can say that with certainty because I never had a problem with either VM in the past. Therefore, the hardware has always been adequate. The computer has 4GB of RAM, and I allocated only 1 GB to each of the VMs, and I have never run more than one at a time. The hard disk is 320 GB, with about 100 GB free space. And as for heat, I wasn't doing anything serious with the computer at the time I tried launching the VM. Plus, I tried again after doing the latest updates and rebooting; in other words, I had nothing at all running and I still got a lockup when trying to start the VM. The issue of the BIOS hanging is likely unrelated to the VM hangups. I doubt that it is heat, but there are other possibilities. The VM hangups are more likely due to some software incompatibility. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
