I have a USB drive box with a 160 Gb drive in it that I connect to my machine when I want to back up to it. And I'll use it for my wife's files, too. But I was thinking about something that stayed on the network so she could do hers and I could do mine whenever we felt like it. On the other hand, she can always copy files to my machine, send me an e-mail, and I'll plug in the USB box and move them over there. Maybe that's the better option since it will be disconnected from both power and the network unless I'm making a copy. Safer from power surges. 3T would probably last us longer than USB will be a hardware standard! -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
