I called them mostly to bitch about the $2 they were adding to my bill because I'm not using the cable TV box that they sent me. In the conversation with the billing person I also asked about what service I had and what download and upload speeds I was paying for. He replied 'Performance-75, 50-75 Mbps down and 25 Mbps up.' I have not called the technical support people yet. I dread the call. 'What version of Windows do you have? And on and on. Bah. And the most annoying part is that their job is to convince you that the problem is on your end. >FWIW on my plain vanilla Comcast service I'm getting about 35Mb >down/12Mb up. That is very interesting. Earlier in this thread Jim Garrison said he had the same service I had and he got 89 Mbps down and 6 Mbps or so up. So his upload speed is roughly the same as mine, yet yours is more, even though you have plain vanilla service. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
