I believe you are right, we must state our case. But we musn't do it by
simple saying "microsoft sucks, try linux.."
There's been a lot of headway in linux for education, take a look at

We can state our case as a group, provide an action plan and with the help
of "edwin linux fan" have an audience with the secretary of education.
