Sorry, I had to manually fix ./drivers/telephony/ixj.c (not telephone).
A variable j, used in the function "void ixj_config()", is undefined
and has to be declared at the start of the funcfion as "IXJ * j".
This is linux-2.4.1 with 2.4.2pre3 fixes.

I was using the linux-2.4.1 with patch-2.4.2pre3. The prereleases are
not supposed to be stable even in the 2.4.X series. But they are there
for the impatient to try out. I should have waited for linux-2.4.2.
But even the untouched 2.4.1 has unsatisfied dependencies when you do a
"make modules_install". I do not understand why this should happen
in the stable series. Maybe there was something I did wrong?
