This happened after I reconfigured X when I couldn't start in x at login.
But after I reconfigure X with a new XF86Config, I couldn't log in as any
non-root user even in console mode!
The only account in which I could log in on is as root.
Also XFdrake reported during a test of configurations that:
"An error has occured.
Could not open default font 'fixed'
Try to change some parameters"

My hunch is that it has to do something with the xfs (X Font Server).
I deduced this from excerpts from 2 different chronological sets of logs
(ERROR.LOG and
ERROR2.LOG)

I'm hoping that there's a Linux Guru out there who could help me. Have
already
posted this in alt.os.linux.mandrake, comp.os.linux.answers, comp.os.linux.x
newsgroups. Am currently waiting for answers to my posts in those newsgroups
but I think my ISP's newserver is buggy for now.

I hate reinstalling Linux coz I got recompiling Xgnokii(X app for Nokia)
which
I've had running smoothly.

Newbie greatly needs help!
