#also, i dont believe Sun has ever released J2EE on linux, only J2 Standard
#Ed... w/c probably means that users of Enhydra develop their stuff on NT
#workstations and just deploy on Enhydra on Linux after its all done... of
#course, i could be mistaken...
#

J2EE is just a bunch of specifications -- e.g. EJB, JSP, JMS, JTS, JTA,
etc. Application server providers implement those
specifications. e.g. Weblogic Server, WEbshepere, etc are J2EE-certified
app server.

Enhydra has a different development philosophy that J2EE, and other app
servers. It was conceived well before J2EE.. Though is has bindings w/
JoNas EJB, and a JSP engine, it still focuses on XMLC.

OpenSource EJB servers include but not limited to: OpenEJB
(http://www.opwnejb.org), JBoss, Caucho ResinEJB
(http://www.caucho.com)..
