But doesn't linux require some basic bios functionality to work? Whatever
the case, this can only make PCs more affordable, without the need to pay
award or ami or phoenix for their bios.
the only problem i can see is that there will be lots of different linux
bioses around, for each mobo manufacturer will need to modify it for
whatever quirk his product may have.
