29K??!!! that's too expensive for hardware like that. i'd suggest.. save
some more and get that wonderful Blade100 Sun box: 256MB RAM, 20GB Ultra66
drive, and a 500MHz *64 BIT* UltraSparc IIIi processor for $990. *drool*
that's about the same price as an IBM Aptiva with a 667MHz PIII processor
(no point comparing with bolt-your-own PC clone hardware).

it may not run Linux, but heck, UNIX is UNIX. i always wanted to have a
Sun of my own.. (I learned UNIX on a Sun, and it's got that "nerdy
engineer" image that a clone PC simply can't convey :) and the Blade100
brings that WAY closer to reality.
