I thought the U.S. Department of Defense stopped degrading signals from GPS 
satellites, or it "turned off selective availability." We're using GPS ( forgot
which commercial brand) here in mindanao for pin pointing best sites for Microwave 
tranceivers and
CBAND sat receivers. So far our GPS devices have no trouble in getting signals 
(average of 3 sats are picked up in the meter.) I also have fun at turning
it on in my car and watch it accurately track my speed,
hehehe ... boys and their toys =D.
