yup...portslave compiled with my mandrake 8. maybe you
should be root while compiling it?
anyway, I do agree that mgetty works better than portslave.
mgetty can be configured to answer data calls by having the
caller hang up after a ring and then redial. things like
that. and i noticed with portslave that sometimes it
doesn't answer the phone, especially if I dial after
suddenly disconnecting.
