Okay... I am clueless about what Outlook is and why a lot of our personnel
-want- it. What is it and what's so great about it? And what free software
replacements are there for it in Windows or Linux? What back-end servers?

If my suspicions are correct, it is an email and groupware(?) scheduling
app?

Does StarOffice (EOL-ed) provide these functionalities adequately to act
as replacement?
