Hello!

This may be a b.s. reason, but i guess some
co*M*mercial 
product*$* bear with them some level of status symbol
-- kind of like owning a BMW(not that so*M*e
product*$* run as smooth) -- for some companies; the
classic form-over-function thing.

One other thing...this has been said many times one
way or another, but the issue of accountability may
play a part, e.g. if so*M*e product*S*
crash/fail/hangs, there is a tangible entity whom they
can call/badger/sue if the problem remains unfixed.
Here in the Phils, there isn't anyone to
call/badger/sue save for a few nwesgroups/mailing
lists(read: PLUG)/e-groups ... well, maybe not sue.
