xinetd has replaced inetd in RH7.1.  Its configuration file
is /etc/xinetd.conf and there are separate config files for each
service controlled by xinetd in /etc/xinetd.d/.

If I can only figure out how /etc/xinetd.d/telnet should be
modified to get telnet to port 25 to work, then I'd be
the happiest sysad around.

P.S. This is not the only thing that changed.  Now you do not
get linuxconf as default.  You have to look for individual
sysadmin utilities, such as bindconf, printtool, etc.
