Hi everyone,

I need to configure a multi-monitor setup using Xinerama. I'm reading the
Xinerama HOWTO in LDP right now, and it's already answered a lot of my
questions.

We'll be using XFree86 4.1.0. The machine is a Celeron 400MHz that
currently has one S3 Trio 3D/2X AGP video card and a number of available
PCI slots.

To those who are using the S3 Trio 3D/2X with Linux: how does this card
perform with XFree86 4.x? Can it handle relatively good display for
1024x768 on a 15" monitor? I don't need 3D acceleration. I just hope the
flicker will not make customers dizzy. ;>

Alternatively I can get a relatively good PCI card to handle the "customer
side" display and use the S3 Trio 3D/2X with a 14" for the "staff side"
display. Would anyone know of PCI video cards that are still in the market
that are relatively okay with Linux? I've got the PC Express pricelist
right now and it's hard to make out which is AGP and which is PCI. In
particular aside from the Trident 9750 and S3 Savage Pro's that are
explicitly labelled "PCI", there are a number that simply don't have
labels (no "AGP" or "PCI"). Would anyone know if the "Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64
32mb" is a PCI video card? Anyone have experience with this and Linux?
(Sounds like Orly to me, hehehe).

Verging on off-topic but ... thanks in advance to any input. :)

 --> Jijo
