1. A directory synchronizer like unison which uses the ssh transport. This is very convenient even for those using scheduled uploads that don't require human intervention. Con: not GUI. http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/ 2. A staging FTP server which still uses cleartext passwords. The user however has to upload signature files (using PKI) for each file uploaded to ensure authenticity. A cron job runs regularly to verify each file and if appropriate transfers it to the production server. 3. Attach files with signed e-mail and sent to an address which is actually a script that parses the attachment. What do you think? -- .--. Michael J.
