Among the dynamic languages, the real alternative
to Java isn't Python but...Common Lisp.
As for an example commercial site, how about
Yahoo!Store.  Is that robust and commercial enough.

I don't suppose there is anyone at UP EE/CS
(or anywhere in the Philippines for that matter)
teaching Lisp or Scheme (using the
Abelson & Sussman text), is there.
