what radius are you using? i only use Cistron. i have no
familiarity at all with other radius servers. and, frankly,
i don't know the answer to grouping :). i never had to learn
because i just use Exec-Program-Wait for everything. it's
slow, but we're a small ISP and we only get around one login
every ten seconds (or even fewer than that, depends on time
of day).
on the other hand, i asked my friend google, and after two or three
links i found:
5.3 How do I use Login-Time for groups, not for users?
http://www.freeradius.org/faq/cistron.html#5.4
which discusses the answers, but you have to scroll up a little
since the link is actually to 5.3 :).
i don't know if that actually works. as i said, i don't use that,
i do everything i need to do in Exec-Program-Wait (and if i need
more performance i'll just hack my exec-program code right into
cistron). but it should work for you.
by the way, friendly advice... you might want to make friends with
google :).
