Note that these types of old microprocessors haven't completely gone away. If you ever hated this kind of work don't get into embedded systems design. You deal with dinky microprocessors and microcontrollers in that field all the time, with the same kind of stupid limitations you talk about and with hardware that you make yourself so you're not always sure it's actually too stable in and of itself. -- Rafael R.
