got into problems with 641 myself. it crashes when a file written by 638C is opened. i didn't have time to check possible causes so i just reverted to 638C. could it then be a 641 problem? i have a basic mdk8.1 install on ext3. 638C worked fine as well on 8.0 and reiserfs. willie _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
