As you will probably (hopefully) have figured out, the key to your problem is what system settings you changed. > kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:01 This means that the kernel cannot find the root filesystem in the location specified. Most typically (I think) because of an invalid LILO configuration, or because you set up a kernel to use DevFS but don't have the DevFSd. Did you upgrade your kernel? If you did I hope you still have a backup image of your previous kernel. Boot to that, fix things. If you don't have a backup image, let us know exactly what system settings you changed and maybe we'll find a way around things. > |\_ > / .\_ > | ( ___) > | \ > | = | > /_____\ > [_______] > > > What you are today is the result of your past... > > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.324 / Virus Database: 181 - Release Date: 2/14/2002 Your signature is way too long, especially for a message sent to a mailing list like this one. Please trim it down. Rule of thumb is three lines, max, excluding an optional line with two or three dashes to separate the message from the signature. And I personally see no value in AVG's email certification facility. Other than AVG publicity, of course. Perhaps it may be a good thing to disable that "functionality" so you can use those three (four, actually) lines for your personal signature. :) --> Jijo -- Federico Sevilla III :: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Network Administrator :: The Leather Collection, Inc.
