Very true, Andrew. (Uy, rhyme yun ah... :))
A working knowledge of vi together with other editors is a good practice. It makes you 
versatile, but like Andrew said, almost all *nix distros/flavors have vi, but not all 
*nixes have the other editors. Knowing the essentials of vi will help you a lot as 
Andrew stated. 

So what I'm trying to say is "Seven of Nine is VERY HOT!"
