#ONe tip, when compiling the static 2.4.x kernel, try to include #virtual terminal support. The serial port of the machine will act #as a console terminal. Connecting to the serial port will give #you the familliar login: prompt. Of course, you must connect the #serial port to another box using a null modem cable or if you have #a decent colo, they must have a console switch where the serial #port of your linux box can connect. #
