It made _no_ sense to compare current-production ATA drives with SCSI ones unavailable for a decade or more. Separately from that, SCSI-3 _did_ not specify a maximum transfer rate, and those proceeded forward independently starting around 1995, with or without any of the SCSI-3 protocol proposals. _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
