i thought you already *understand* what dhcp ip address allocation
mechanisms are and you already read their previous post how zpdee
implemented it..... anyway its a "manual allocation"

as what rfc 2131 said.

im starting to doubt if you *really* understand how dchp works.. dhcp is a
*client-server* model where the dhcp client (eg. cable modem) is an internet
host using dchp to obtain configuration parameters to a dchp server and dhcp
server is an internet host that returns configuration parameters to dhcp
clients...

what *secure* are you talking about? the only secure for dchp so far that i
know is rfc 3118 (Authentication for DHCP Messages) and not as what you
talking about that "their modems are the only one that can have an ip
allocation".. are you really sure do you understand what secure dhcp is?

then buy it and try to plug it to your favorite cable company and let us see
what you got... they are not stupid as what you think...

then what are the two question marks are for?

fooler.
