I think that if price were not a factor, I'd -still- choose SCSI over IDE
hands down. Of course, in our economy, squeezing every little bit out of
each hard earned Peso changes the picture.

For personal use, and since the equipment comes out of my pocket, IDE
drives become attractive considering costs.

For deployment on machines at work, however, I ask for SCSI drives as much
as possible (especially on servers). No cutting-corners for machines that
I expect and want to be reliable work horses. Of course, frivolities such
as sound cards, high-end graphics cards, flat-screen LCD monitors only get
requested for if the budget officer is in a good mood. In a room full of
machines, you only need one of those boxes to have the niceties.
