Agreed. I find Andy Sy thought-provoking from time to time, and I welcome the freshness that a counterview gives. If we didn't allow contrary views to be expressed, we'd just have some form of a group mind. (Not that I don't like the Borg.. =) ) That said, c'mon, guys, grow up a little. ;) Name-calling is just so... so... <laugh> I would like people to question style when it gets in the way of the point being made so that they can help the other person find a better way of expressing things. I would hope that people do not think less of the point because of the way it was presented, and I would like my own posts treated with the same consideration. I'm afraid that my ultra-long posts try people's patience, though.. =) (Doc Mana: I'm sorry about your mailbox. <laugh>) By the way, I've just posted a rather long essay over at ph-linux-newbie in response to an Inq7 article about Microsoft trying to convince the government that it was insane to use open source, or something like that. ;) I know some people don't subscribe to ph-linux-newbie because of the traffic, but if you'd like to see it, the archive link is http://lists.q-linux.com/pipermail/ph-linux-newbie/2002-September/010716.html ... in retrospect, maybe I should've posted it to plug-misc as well, but I'll hold off that because I'm not entirely sure where it's appropriate and I don't want to flood people with my really long posts. =) -- Sacha Chua <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - 4 BS CS Ateneo geekette interests: emacs, gnu/linux, wearables, teaching compsci _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
