you're right. i tried groups via ssh(single command) and i get the default group only! but, when i login via ssh interactive, i run groups and i see only the default group. i run newgrp <group1> and it succeeds. i run groups again, now i get two groups listed! hmmmmmm...interesting, maybe because my group declarations are in ldap. :)
