hi jimmy,

  trimming isnt unethical unless it modifies the meaning/intent of the
original poster (like what you said). trimming of messages should only
be done on the _unnecessary_ parts, to conserve bandwidth and time. i
would hate receiving replied posts from sacha or mike if i have to wade
through every sentence when the person who replied was only referring to
a couple.
