What is necessary or unnecessary often depends on who is doing
the replying.  In this mailing list, people tend to include TOO MUCH
of the original post.  I think the best rule of thumb is to include
only that little portion of the email to which to are replying, because
the person can easily go back to the original anyway, and because
this list does not just rain on my inbox but floods/deluges/overruns/
chokes/drowns/etc my inbox. Please cut, cut, cut, cut!!
